HOW TO ENROLL:
Enrollment is a process initiated by the individual applicant and completed in relationship with a Peer Support Specialist. Enrollment involves the applicant to:
Complete the online intake form that is self-directed.
- The intake form requests self-disclosure of demographic information like legal name, date of birth, race, and gender identification, and whether having a criminal history;
- Your contact information (so Peer Support Specialist can stay in touch);
- Brief screening on resilience to aid Peer Support Specialist in selecting appropriate resources and to help describe the experiences of people served by the program.
WHAT IS THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS?
Program staff reviews the completed intake form for eligibility of enrollment and will follow-up accordingly with a notification of decision that will be sent to the email listed on the intake form within 48 hours of receipt of a completed form.
- A decision of notification will be one of the following outcomes: Acceptance (applicant meets the eligibility criteria and there is space available); Wait-listed (applicant meets the eligibility criteria but there is no immediate space availability); Decline (applicant does not meet eligibility criteria regardless of space availability).
- If wait-listed, program staff will follow-up to provide linkage to a partnering agency to support you in accessing alternative resources.
- The acceptance letter will detail next steps, including overview of what it means to enroll, services offered, and following benefits of enrollment: ongoing support from peers and team of staff throughout employment transition and professional career; compensation for attending trauma-informed care education sessions; and limited financial assistance upon request to compensate for transportation to job interviews and other critical employment supported appointments like application fees for IDs, expungements and other legal documents to advance gainful employment.
