Trauma-Informed Workforce & Community Empowerment in Baltimore

Each Teach Inc. has been a dynamic nonprofit social enterprise in Baltimore, Maryland, since 2010. We specialize in co-designing trauma-informed, person-centered workforce programs to actualize our restorative justice-based values of equity, community driven, people first, power building, and transparency. Through our unique blend of culturally adaptive and linguistically appropriate strategies, including healing-centered conversations and antiracist initiatives, we strive to create a more inclusive workforce.

Our Team

Our dedicated professionals bring a wealth of experience in person-centered care, serving as catalysts for individuals' success in securing competitive employment opportunities. Our team members are credible intergenerational messengers with deep-rooted trust within our communities—a pivotal aspect of public health initiatives. We have a team of certified behavioral health professionals which includes peer navigators whose invaluable lived experiences enrich our approach. Our employment support specialists also serve as indispensable job coaches, offering employment and post-secondary education readiness guidance. Moreover, our benefit counselors provide personalized financial education and planning, promoting consumers' financial wellness and stability.

Including Indigenous and immigrant peoples, individuals with disabilities, those with justice involvement and in substance use recovery, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people made poor, among others. Through trauma-informed workforce development and healing-centered, antiracist community education, we strive to break down systemic barriers and foster resilience within underserved communities. Collaborating closely with community-based service providers, we address comprehensive needs, resulting in increased workforce retention rates and reduction in criminal recidivism rates.

Our focus extends to individuals with disabilities, those with justice involvement, LGBTQ+ individuals, Indigenous peoples, and those hailing from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Through trauma-informed workforce development and healing-centered, anti-racist community education, we strive to break down systemic barriers and foster resilience within underserved communities. Collaborating closely with community-based service providers, we address comprehensive needs, resulting in increased partner retention rates and a tangible reduction in criminal recidivism rates.

Each Teach, Inc. was founded in 2010 to remove barriers preventing marginalized groups from fully participating in the competitive workforce. By integrating supported employment with trauma-informed and antiracist principles, Each Teach fosters empowerment and equity. Our leadership’s extensive experience in public health and employment equity has significantly enhanced occupational and wellness competencies in Baltimore. Each Teach's impactful programs have transformed lives and have positioned the organization as a key trauma-informed workforce provider.

Our History

Established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Baltimore City in August 2010, Each Teach, Inc. has been at the forefront of providing culturally adaptive, linguistically appropriate workforce and community education services. Our primary focus lies on uplifting marginalized individuals facing disabilities, behavioral health challenges, justice involvement, and other barriers to employment. Through strategic partnerships with community organizations, we offer trauma-informed employment services, leveraging evidence-based approaches such as the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. We uphold employment as the primary goal by supporting individuals in finding and maintaining jobs that align with their aspirations. Our programs cater to all willing participants, providing comprehensive support to participants and employers, and ensuring sustainable employment outcomes.
